1210 Pandemic

Watch

ok i really enjoyed this one
not only because i enjoyed cloverfield
but because Craig brings up an interesting facts about the boys
why no one likes to hang out with them and
that they are completely oblivious to it.

Chartpak vs prima markers - transfers

wintergreen is quite good, but hard to find and expensive so i looked online and found people using Chartpak Clear Blenders because it is solvent based, so i got one and tried it, but before that, i used what i had, prisma clear blender... these are the results: Prima works well with ink jet prints and it is best to use them half an hour after printing so they dry, Chartpak works best with laser prints/photocopy images
both marker methods need to be burnished and the freshed prints are best

South Park 1212

i agree with Butters this episode.
Liked the new movie, it was just another episode of indy to me.
i remember back when everyone had the problems with Lucas
changing starwars... it was like jeez people it is his creation
he can change it how he wants... get over yourselves

i liked the crystal skull... aliens has always been a theory for them
so why not run with it?

then i am not into eps that depict sexual acts
but it goes with the territory of SP
so i get over it and cover those eps with another window
i never want to see South Park censored.....
i love that show! ^_^

...you have to be fast to work in comics... -Phil Hester

-_-; bummer...
hid in the panel room the whole time

there are some notes from:
-COMIC WRITING 101 - JOHN OSTRANDER
-WHAT THE #@$%!&*# - PAT GLEASON & DOUG MAHNKE
[Gleason said the style quote]
-BEST OF BOTH WORLDS - Peter Tomasi (Editor/writer) Phil Hester (Writer/Artist/Indy)

only got to see some of:
-SCIENCE OF THE WATCHMEN - PROFESSOR JAMES KAKLIOS
but the sound sucked -_-#

favorite:

11AM to 12PM: SPIRITUAL THEMES IN COMICS - Many people agree the heroes of today are not the same as the heroes of yesteryear. Why is this? What has changed? Join Adam Hughes, Norm Breyfogle, Bud Hanzel, Phil Hester and moderator Carl Borg as we wrestle with the question, "What Makes the Good Guys Good?"

the most, it was a group of talkers, they got through 3 out of 8 questions

...you have to be screwed up to live in Gotham... -Adam Hughes

going to fallcon

going to fallcon
http://fallcon.mncba.com/

it will be the 2nd comic convention i have ever been to...
last one was in 1997... which was the same one,
just a different location
figure since i am within walking distance
so i do not have an excuse not to go
i will sit at their stage area and watch all the talks
and presentations
don't really have anything to buy
the 2 comics i can think of are long gone

-Showcase '96 #11
-LSH annual.... the year one stuff
