then abandoned because of some bad marker work.
but thought: hell I should finish...
took a colorless blender to "erase" the bad marker and finished..
listening to the Bobby Chiu stuff gave me the drive to do it...

thought I would be done.. it was at the flats point this morning. started working on it about 330am until about 530am. half the time was playing with brushes, I ate, and I also swore I heard far off howling outside. I think the wolves are coming. could have swore I saw one last week, at 4am, the connection of 252 and 610. I slow down for all animal headlights... they usually run away from the road, "crap human saw me." ...but this creature watched my car go by. anyway what I worked on is the shading today...after dinking with brushes, I had to work on it...maybe an hour...

Facts [sketch to pencil process]:
-Mello was the most incomplete sketch
-Matt stayed the most true to the sketch
[M2 just seems to like being drawn]
-Near....grrr....eraser and redid his whole face 10 times,
after the first transfer...see I get the impression he is not
all that skinny...so I was rounding him...want to add more.
hell, I added weight to all of them...

Death of the Essay

Well the Brainiac 5 essay is dead. At least I was told...so No publishing for me...figured so much...oh well...life moves on...learned a lot about character developement during the process...and why I like the character so much...when it comes to the social interaction with others...I completely relate to Brainy...I rather not creepy you all out with that...just trust me.

Coloring books [manga]

when I look at all those black and white pages
in a manga on newsprint
coloring book comes to mind
and I have actually taken one of my manga
with so colored pencils and colored
people think it was weird
but I have no plans to sell them
I buy everything for a reason
For awhile I would scan in pages and practice....
key word....practice....digital coloring,
until I got yelled at by an
anime/manga purist, say what I was doing is wrong
and all I am doing is claiming I am better that the
original artist....really is that what I am saying?
I thought I was learning how to digital color
using artwork I enjoy....baka

anyway I scanned it a panel the other day from Vol 12
of Death Note to show someone Nate does eat...
and decided to color using a technique mentioned to me...
see...learning purist people...
the image was 1" x 2"

Essay, oh how you mock...DN opening

well people finished the actual typing of the essay...so I printed it and now I am going to comb through it for mistakes and put numbers at all my referrances. They want them done in footnote style which will make it easy. Already have all my refs from the last essay and I used the same material..so...at least I made an effort.

on a positive note, the 2nd death note opening...I was suprized...it went from a J-Pop openning to a punk death metal sound..I like it!

.....OMG....just finish watching episode 25 of Death Note...
I knew what was going to happen to L
before I watched a single episode
but I didn't know when or how...
that anime is so intense
Light is so psychotic it is scary
I was shivering
still am...jeez I can't let stories effect me like this...
only 12 episodes left...
these series would turn me loopy if I watch it all at once..
